Interim Director - Joined AISF in August 2020

​

It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as Interim Director of the American International School of Freetown (AISF). Having been a part of this remarkable school community as a teacher and school leader, I have witnessed firsthand the dedication of our educators, the enthusiasm of our students, and the strong sense of family that makes AISF such a special place. I am excited to continue serving our community in this new capacity.

At AISF, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, supported, valued, and inspired to reach their fullest potential. Our diverse, internationally minded community celebrates the unique backgrounds, perspectives, and talents that each student brings to our campus. With small class sizes and a personalized approach to education, we are able to build meaningful relationships with our students, recognize their individual strengths, and provide the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed.

As an MSA-accredited school and a Round Square candidate school, we are committed to maintaining high academic standards while nurturing the character, confidence, and compassion of our students. Education at AISF extends far beyond textbooks and classrooms. Through academics, the arts, athletics, cultural celebrations, and service-learning opportunities, we encourage our students to become critical thinkers, creative problem-solvers, responsible global citizens, and compassionate leaders.

Throughout my career in education, I have remained committed to the belief that students thrive when they feel a sense of belonging and when educators, families, and school leaders work together toward a common goal. As Interim Director, my priorities are to maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment, support and empower our dedicated teachers, strengthen communication and collaboration with families, and ensure that academic excellence and student well-being remain at the heart of every decision we make.

While AISF embraces a global perspective, we are equally proud of our home in Sierra Leone. The warmth, resilience, and rich cultural heritage of this beautiful country are reflected in our school community and provide meaningful opportunities for our students to learn, grow, and appreciate the world around them.

I look forward to building upon the strong foundation that has been established at AISF while continuing to seek opportunities for growth and improvement. Whether you are a current family, a prospective parent, or a visitor exploring our school, I warmly invite you to experience the welcoming atmosphere, vibrant learning environment, and genuine sense of community that define AISF.
