Director’s Welcome

Director – Joined AISF in August 2024

It is a privilege to lead the American International School of Freetown as Director. AISF is a vibrant, diverse community where every student is known, valued, and challenged to achieve their personal best. Our mission — to inspire a love of learning in a safe, student-centred, and internationally minded environment — guides every decision we make.

As an MSA-accredited school and a Round Square candidate school, we are part of a global network committed to academic excellence, character development, and service learning. Our small class sizes and personalised approach ensure that each child’s talents are recognised and nurtured, preparing our graduates to thrive in the universities and careers of their choice and to lead with integrity in a global context.

Over the past year, we have strengthened our academic programs, expanded opportunities in the arts, and enriched our community life through a vibrant calendar of cultural, service, and performance events. Whether in the classroom, on stage, on the sports field, or through service learning, our students are encouraged to think critically, act with empathy, and take ownership of their learning.

While our outlook is global, we are deeply connected to the cultural richness and community spirit of Sierra Leone. I warmly invite you to visit us, meet our students and staff, and experience for yourself the energy, care, and ambition that make AISF a truly special place to learn and grow.
